- Do light circular massage with your fingertips around your lower belly area.
- Avoid foods that contain caffeine and salt.
- Drink 6-8 glasses of water which helps in balancing hormones.
- Eat light but frequent meals.
- Calcium and magnesium deficiencies can be also a reason for menstrual pains. So increase the consumption of these minerals.
- Follow a diet rich in complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.
- Bloating will be one major problem for many women in menstrual cycle , if you face this problem avoid fiber rich foods like whole grains ,and dairy products.
- Practice yoga regularly.

- You can try home remedies like rolling a bottle filled with hot water on your tummy usually this allows to expand the contractions of muscles there by minimizes the pain
- You can minimize the pain by swallowing a small capsule made with turmeric and ghee mixed and made into a ball or capsule, along with lukewarm water
