Broccoli Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian the most yummiest side dish many prefer. If you are one of those who love this dish you will definitely love this Broccoli Manchurian.
I used to cook mixed Veg Manchurian but once there was a potluck and I  seriously have nothing so decided to do this and to my luck this turned out to be very tasty.
Try this recipe and you will agree with me

Corn Flour 5 Table Spoons

Canola Oil for deep fry

For Gravy:

Ginger chopped finely 2 table spoons
Garlic chopped Finely 2 table spoons

Canola oil 2 table spoons

For Garnish:

Chopped Spring Onions 1/8 cup
Coriander chopped finely 1/4 cup
Green chilies sliced into halves 4
Onions sliced into long thin pieces 15

Cooking Time  and  Calories:

Preparing Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 30 Minutes
Calories: 100 per cup of serving

Method:

For Manchurian:
Step 1: Clean  broccoli and cut into medium sized florets,if frozen soak them in hot water for 3 minutes and cut them into medium sized florets as shown
Step 2: Now half boil the florets in a microwave or cooker .Don't over cook them just half boil
Step 3: Take a bowl, add all the flours taken , garam masala, chili powder, salt, coriander powder.Mix it well
Step 4: Add water and make into a loose batter so that you will get a light coating on your floret but not like a bajji coating
Step 5: Take  a deep skillet and add oil .Heat the oil ,when ready add dipped florets and fry them until they turn golden brown.Drain them on a tissue paper and put them a side .They look like this

For Gravy:

Step 1: Take a skillet and add about 2 table spoons of oil ,when it is ready and hot add ginger and garlic pieces and let them fry
Step 2: Add finely chopped spring onions and onions to it and fry them until they are done
Step 3: Now take the sauces and add one by one and cook for a minute or two
Step 4: Taste for the salt and balance any taste if required according to you
Step 5:Now add the fried florets to the gravy and turn the stove to medium flame for 4 minutes
Step 6 : Switch off the stove and spread the Manchurian on a  serving plate and garnish with chopped cilantro, spring onions, sliced green chilies and onions
Step 7: Sprinkle the sugar on the Manchurian before serving  ,when they are hot

Tips:

  • Serve hot
  • Don't add too much of teeka sauce it may end in making your dish sour
  • The recipe I have shown is for Dry Manchurian if you like to prepare wet one add the sauces more in quantity
  • If your sauce consistency is too loose make it thick by adding corn flour to the sauce or gravy
  • If you over cook the florets more then half boiled they become too mushy and spoils the dish be careful while boiling broccoli as it take not more than 4 minutes to half boil them
  • If prepared as a stater my suggestion  is to make it a bit spicy and if with Biryani a bit mild .
