Parmesan Sauce

This creamy sauce adds taste and a smooth texture to your dish .This can be added as an extra topping to any side dish or steamed veggies or meat  or can be used a s a dip simply enhancing the taste .
You can prepare this at home fresh and tasty in not more than 12 minutes  or buy in food markets ........

Ingredients :

1/3 cup all purpose  flour
3 cups low-fat milk (1%)
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon butter

Salt for taste 

Seasoning : 

Parsley Leaves  dried or basil leaves dried 1/2 teaspoon 
Paprika or pepper flakes 1 pinch 
Pepper powder a pinch 

Cooking Time & Calories :


Preparing Time : 5 minutes 
Cooking Time : 7 Minutes 
Calories : app 23 calories per table spoon

Method:

Step 1:
 In a medium, heavy saucepan, whisk flour to remove any lumps.

Step 2:
Gradually add 1 cup milk, whisking until smooth.

Step 3:Add remaining milk and the nutmeg.

Step 4:Whisk over medium heat until thickened and comes to a boil, about 4 minutes.

Step 5:Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan and butter.

Step 6:Season to taste.
