Betel Leaf Stuffed Panner

Panner the best source of protein for vegetarians, can be served either fried or baked or just  cooking it in any gravy. I prepared many panner dishes as appetizers , so thought of cooking it this way by stuffing it with betel leaves and served as a snack to my guests,it was just mouth watering !!!!!!!





Ingredients:
Panner cubes (medium sized ) 20
Betel Leaves 2 (small or medium )
Green chilies 3
Cilantro 1/4 cup chopped
Curry leaves some chopped
Dry coconut Powder  1  to 2 large table spoons
Cashews some crushed 
Kowa 1/4 cup
Kasoori Methi 1/4 teaspoon or 2 pinches 
Garlic Powder 1/4 teaspoon
Onion Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt for taste 
Tuti Fruti 1 table spoon
Fennel seeds 1/2 teaspoon
Bread Crumbs 1/4 cup
All purpose flour 2 table spoons
Corn Flour 1 table spoon
Garam Masala 1/4 teaspoon

Cooking Time & Calories:
Preparing Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Calories : 65 to 70 per piece

Method:
Step 1: Wash panneer cubes thoroughly , and make a cut deep into each cubes so that you can stuff . 
Step 2: Take the betel leaves and mash them softly and roughly . Now mash cilantro, curry leaves , green chilies roughly .
Step 3: Grate kowa about 1/4 of a cup.  Take a bowl add  mashed ingredients, kowa, tuti fruti,kasoori methi. salt for taste , dry coconut flakes , fennel seeds onion &  garlic  powder , crushed cashews . Mix the paste well
Step 4: Now take a bowl make a batter with the taken flours . Make sure the batter is very thin in consistency . Add garam masala  , salt ( may be 2 to 3 pinches ) to the batter
Step 5: Stuff the panner cubes with stuff , make sure it does not spill out , just pinch the cubes softly and clean the extra spill, this does the work 


Step 6: Now dip the panner cubes in prepared batter , let the extra batter drip , then roll them in bread crumbs
Step 7: Take a frying pan  add some oil for shallow frying, when ready and hot add the panner cubes and fry in medium flame until they reach golden brown color .
Step 8: Serve hot with dates & tamarind sauce or tomato sauce 

Notes:
  • Don't add the betel laves more , as they have a different ; unique taste with a spicy touch .
  • Tuti fruti is added to balance the taste .
  • You can deep fry the cubes instead of shallow frying
  • When preparing the stuff , make sure you make it a tight one without adding water 
  • You can add potato or any other vegetables along with betel leaf so enhance the taste
