Vegetable Pulao:
Basmati rice -1cup
Ginger-garlic paste -3 table spoons(fresh )
3 cardamon (green or black)
2 or 3 cloves
1/4 cup of green peas
1 cup diced potatoes
1/2 cup of diced carrots
1/4 cup of diced cauliflower
2 bay leaves
1/8 tea spoon of Cumin Seeds
Salt for taste
2 table spoon of ghee
8 table spoon canola oil
Cooking time : 40 Min

Vegetable Pulao:
Lets start with a good entree today . Pulao is really a very delightful dish .To our surprise pulao
was introduced from middle eastern countries and there are many
different ways to cook it and here is one of them .
This can be served
mainly with onion raita or with cucumber or pineapple raita .

Green chillies(hot)-8 or 9 depending
1/4 cup of chopped mint
2 big cinnamon sticks1/4 cup of chopped mint
3 cardamon (green or black)
2 or 3 cloves
1/4 cup of green peas
1 cup diced potatoes
1/2 cup of diced carrots
1/4 cup of diced cauliflower
2 bay leaves
1/8 tea spoon of Cumin Seeds
Salt for taste
2 table spoon of ghee
8 table spoon canola oil
Cooking time and Calories:
Preparation time : 20 Min Cooking time : 40 Min
Calories : about 250 per 100 gm of pulao
Method:
Step 1 : Take a blending jar add the mint leaves,, ginger ,garlic , green chilies and blend them into a fine paste or until it is smooth enough with no residue of any spices
Step
2 :Take a deep skillet and add 8 table spoons of canola oil and ghee
and when the oil is ready and hot add spices and when sputters add
the masala paste and fry until oil oozes out the mixture
Step
3: When oil starts oozing out add the vegetables and a little salt to
tender the vegetables.Cover it with a lid and let sit in a medium flame
for about five minutes
Step 4: When the vegetables are being cooked wash basmati rice thoroughly
, after five minutes of tendering the vegetables add rice and stir for a
min then add 1 1/2 cup of water to it and salt to taste and transfer
into rice cooker .(If you are using a pressure cooker cook till
3 whistles in medium flame and let it cool)
Step 5 : Serve with raita
