My Day 29 Yoga

Upavistha konasana yoga pose:(Seated Wide Legged Straddle Yoga Pose)


1.Sit on the floor with both legs straight.

2.Wide open your legs.
3.Make sure that your knees are facing upward toward the ceiling.
4.Take a long deep breath(inhale),your spine should be straight enough.
5.Exhaling,now slowly lean forward.
6.Hold your toe with index and middle finger and try to stretch completely.
7.Increase the forward bend until you are comfortable.
8Try to be in this pose for 1 minute or longer time. Then come to a normal sitting position by  inhaling.

                 Beginner's can take the support of the ground as shown in the figure


  1. It opens the hip.
  2. Stretches the legs.
  3. Stimulates the abdominal organs.
  4. Strengthens the spine.
  5. Calms the brain.
